We are delighted to announce that Futureheads has been officially certified as a WEConnect International women’s business enterprise (WBE). WEConnect International is a global non-profit which helps connect national and multinational organisations with women-owned businesses as part of their supplier diversity programmes, creating networking opportunities and establishing forums for debate and learning opportunities. The supplier diversity movement – a focus on inclusive procurement – originated in the US and is now attracting global interest from large enterprises who want to ensure they are working with a suitably diverse range of suppliers.
The WBE certification recognises businesses which are owned and managed by women, and aims to highlight the key role that female entrepreneurs play in the global economy. Futureheads was founded in 2009 by Be Kaler-Pilgrim, Gill Arnold, Rachel Murray and Charlie Hoult, and continues to champion diversity as a core value.
Jon Wall, Futureheads Client Director, said: “The WEConnect accreditation gives us the opportunity to work with larger businesses who have a commitment to work with minority groups. It provides a forum where we can absorb some key learnings from companies who have already carried out extensive research around diversity and are further along in their own journey around ED&I. In what’s been a difficult year, this is a really positive move for us.”
