Future Thinkers: Anish Joshi

By :Chris Chapman

Anish Joshi has always maintained a broad outlook and diverse skillset, moving seamlessly between the craft of creating original, high-quality outputs and building business capabilities. His career has been defined by an ability to operate across creative, strategic and commercial disciplines, often switching between them in real time.

He studied a combined Engineering and Industrial Product Design degree, giving him a strong foundation in both creative and analytical thinking. He later completed an MBA, adding a complementary business perspective that further shaped his approach to innovation, problem-solving and leadership.

Throughout his career, Anish has built experience across a wide range of industries, geographies and roles. He has interned in San Francisco working in 3D architectural design, lived in the Bahamas helping to shape tourism brand strategy, and worked within leading design and management consultancies focused on product and strategic design.

Prior to founding Wormhole, he served as Global Head of Design and Innovation for a major energy company, where he played a key role in establishing a global digital hub capability from the ground up. Reflecting on the experience, he describes it as probably the best "normal job" he has ever had.

Today, Anish is on a very different journey as the Founder of Wormhole, a design-led AI start-up focused on helping organisations and individuals become smarter, faster and more capable through the intelligent combination of human and artificial intelligence.
