<strong>Technical Product Manager, AI Systems<br></strong><br><br>Futureheads have exclusively partnered with a fully-funded, early-stage AI startup on a mission to fix one of the most outdated parts of everyday life: how we communicate. They're building a genuinely new kind of voice and text application - proactive, intelligent, and actually useful, not another chatbot. Think "Cursor for All."<br><br>Backed by a hugely successful, profitable financial services group with a presence across five global markets and zero external funding, and with $100m already committed, they're now building a founding team of ~15 world-class people from scratch, working globally from day one. This is a rare shot at real founding-team equity, working directly with the Founder/Technical Lead, on a product with genuine global ambition.<br><br><br><strong>The Role<br></strong><br><br>This is a deeply technical, hands-on Product role sitting right at the intersection of AI capability, engineering reality, and real user needs. You'll work directly with the Founder/Technical Lead and sit shoulder-to-shoulder with ML and backend engineers - wrestling with trade-offs between quality, latency, cost and reliability, and turning genuinely hard problems into product decisions that ship. You won't be writing specs from the sidelines.<br><br><br><strong>Day to day, you'll:<br></strong><br><br><ul><li>Define end-to-end AI system requirements - from model capability through to real user impact</li><li>Translate evaluation results and data constraints into clear product and engineering decisions</li><li>Build and evolve evaluation frameworks across offline metrics, live experiments and human feedback</li><li>Work shoulder-to-shoulder with ML, backend and mobile engineers on system design and iteration</li><li>Own product quality end-to-end: correctness, predictability, and user trust</li><li>Drive execution through sharp specs, strong judgement, and relentless prioritisation</li></ul><br><br><strong>What They're Looking For<br></strong><br><br>This isn't a role for someone who wants to manage a roadmap from a distance. They want someone who can genuinely go deep - technically fluent, comfortable with ambiguity, and hungry to build something from zero.<br><br><br><strong>You'll likely have:</strong><br><br><br><ul><li>A strong grounding in CS fundamentals - algorithms, data structures, system design</li><li>Solid ML fundamentals and a real understanding of how AI systems behave in production</li><li>Hands-on experience with LLM-based products, model evaluation, and prompt/pipeline iteration</li><li>A sharp intuition for where models break - hallucination, bias, drift - and how to design around it</li><li>A track record owning complex, technical products end-to-end, working closely with senior engineers</li><li>The judgement to make good calls fast, in a fast-moving, still-being-defined environment</li></ul><br><br><strong>Nice to have:</strong> experience shipping AI-heavy consumer products, a background as an engineer or highly technical PM, or prior zero-to-one experience.<br><br><br>Just as important as the CV is the mindset. This team looks for what they call the "7H traits": Head (real intellectual horsepower), Hands (builder, not just strategist), Hustle (thrives on fast-moving, evolving problems), Humility (honest and direct), Heart (genuinely passionate), Hunger (internally driven, works hard because they want to), and Habits (self-organised and disciplined). What matters most is substance over pedigree — proven, hands-on depth counts for more than a big-name logo on the CV.<br><br><br><strong>The Practical Bits</strong><br><br><br><ul><li><strong>Location</strong><strong>:</strong> Fully remote - work from anywhere, all year round</li><li><strong>Team:</strong> Joining a founding team of ~15, reporting directly to the Technical Lead/Founder</li><li><strong>Compensation:</strong> Uncapped for the right candidate.
