Futureheads are looking for a Senior Azure Security Engineer to join a well known client of ours. In this hands-on role, you’ll be the go-to expert for designing, implementing, and managing security solutions that protect our systems and data, while ensuring we stay compliant with key standards.<br>What You’ll Do<ul><li><strong>Design and implement secure Azure cloud architectures,</strong> following industry best practices.</li><li>Create and support cloud security policies and procedures.</li><li>Perform risk assessments and security reviews, contributing to the overall security strategy and roadmaps.</li><li><strong>Integrate security into our DevOps and application teams’ workflows,</strong> making sure security is built into everything we do.</li><li><strong>Leverage Microsoft’s security stack:</strong> You’ll configure and manage tools like Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, and Sentinel. You’ll also set up information protection and compliance measures using Microsoft Purview, manage encryption keys in Azure Key Vault, and lead efforts with our SOC and managed Sentinel provider to respond to incidents.</li><li><strong>Focus on compliance:</strong> ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and NIS2 requirements. Support documentation, audits, insider risk management, and eDiscovery, and use metrics like Secure Score to drive continual improvement.</li><li><strong>Monitor and respond:</strong> Set up alerts and dashboards, participate in investigating security incidents, and help build the business continuity and disaster recovery plans.</li></ul>You’ll work alongside DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams — offering advice, sharing security knowledge, and clearly communicating risks and solutions to different stakeholders.<br>What We’re Looking ForSkills & Experience<ul><li>A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.</li><li>At least 5 years in cloud security roles, including 3+ years focused on Microsoft Azure.</li><li>Enterprise experience, ideally in regulated industries.</li><li>Deep understanding of Azure security and Microsoft Defender tools.</li><li>Advanced skills with Microsoft Sentinel, Purview, Intune, and Defender for Endpoint.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Entra ID/Active Directory, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management.</li><li>Comfortable scripting with PowerShell and the Microsoft Graph API for automating security tasks.</li><li>Proven knowledge of security compliance standards (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2).</li><li>Familiarity with Azure firewalls, security and application groups, and endpoint management.</li></ul>Certifications<ul><li>Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)</li><li>Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100), or actively working toward it</li><li>At least one of: MS-500, SC-400, or SC-900</li><li>Bonus points for CISSP, CISM, or CCSP certifications.</li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Great communicator, able to explain complex issues to both technical and non-technical colleagues.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Able to draft clear documentation and work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.</li><li>Confident presenting recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>24 days holiday (increasing to 29 days), plus your birthday off</li><li>Wellness days and enhanced parental leave</li><li>Health cash plan (Medicash)</li><li>Flexible Fridays (early finish opportunity)</li><li>Hybrid working</li><li>Employee assistance and travel loan schemes</li></ul><br /><br /><em><em>We encourage applicants from all backgrounds, so if there is anything we can do to make our recruitment processes better for you and to allow you to show your best self, let us know.
