The Director of Digital will have remit over their Technology, Product, Content &amp; Data Science teams, supporting the leads to create the conditions for their digital function to thrive. They are going to be going through a transformation, focusing on integrating technology &amp; digital into their ways of working. More reasons to celebrate Neurodiversity in the workplace

Historically, the tech industry has been male-dominated, but there are now many successful women in tech who are changing the industry for the better.

As International Women's Day approaches, it's important to recognise and celebrate the contributions that women have made in the tech industry in the UK.
According to a recent report from PwC, women currently make up only 15% of the tech industry in the UK, a figure that has remained relatively stagnant in recent years. However, there are many organizations and initiatives working to increase the representation of women in tech, and progress is being made.&nbsp;
One of the key challenges facing women in tech is the gender pay gap. According to a report by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), the gender pay gap in the tech industry is around 25%, significantly higher than the national average of 17.3%. This is a problem that needs to be addressed, and companies are starting to take steps to ensure that women are paid fairly and have equal opportunities for career progression.&nbsp;
There are also many inspiring women in tech who are making a real difference in the industry. For example, Dame Stephanie Shirley is a British businesswoman and philanthropist who founded a software company in the 1960s, employing mainly women. She was a pioneer in promoting flexible working and was awarded a damehood in recognition of her work.&nbsp;
Another inspiring figure is Dr. Sue Black, a computer scientist and technology evangelist who founded the campaign to save Bletchley Park, the site where codebreakers worked during World War II. While there is still much work to be done to increase the representation of women in tech in the UK, there are many inspiring women who are making a real difference in the industry. It's important to celebrate their achievements and to support initiatives that aim to increase the number of women in tech and reduce the gender pay gap.
