<strong>Strategic Product Designer<br> </strong><br><strong>Location: Remote with occasional travel (must be UK based and have right to work)</strong><br><strong>Salary: up to £70,000 DoE<br></strong><br>I am working with a well-loved global media brand to hire a Strategic Product Designer who has experience working with digital teams, and designing digital solutions within app web and future tech.<br><strong><br>The team and focus:</strong><br>Reporting into the Head of Innovation you will be working closely with stakeholders to bring ideas to life through your creative skills and understanding of what is technically possible. As a Strategic Product Designer, you will be designing media experiences that delight and engage consumers across web, mobile applications, voice, and connected devices. Digital is an integral part of the companies’ mission, and innovation on the forefront of their agenda. <br><br>As a Strategic Product Designer, you will be working to evangelise innovation throughout the business to help the client continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You will be expected to grow ideas from ideation through to design and work closely with product teams to drive digital innovation across their new digital product.<br><strong><br>What you will do:</strong><br><ul><li>Support with embedding a new culture of innovation, educating the business on digital ways of thinking and running initiatives such as design sprints and hack days and embedding design thinking.  </li><li>Manage the day to day running of the Innovation Challenge. A yearly initiative set up to crowd source ideas across 9 different countries.</li><li>Take an idea and rapidly turn it into a visual Proof of Concept using a variety of tools to shortcut the need for development resources e.g., sketched concepts, wireframes, user journeys, personas, videos, or navigational prototypes.  </li><li>You will be working on ideas/problems that cover a vast range of topics and will manifest in many different visualisations/prototypes. This may include UI Design, sketching skills, video editing. You will need to be adaptable.</li><li>Design, manage and facilitate activities, from half day workshops to iterative development sprints across our key territories.</li><li>Bring cutting edge digital innovations to the attention of the Central Digital Team by keeping abreast of recent developments in the industry.</li><li>Proactively guerilla test concepts to ensure our audiences are feeding into the design process.  </li><li>Break down problems into component parts and be able to identify key data needed to support your decisions.  </li><li>Succinctly pitch your work to senior stakeholders.  </li><li>Work closely with the dev team to explain ideas and hand over prototypes.  </li></ul> <strong>What you will bring:</strong><br><ul><li>An understanding of design thinking, and design experience from personas through to sketched concepts.</li><li>Passionate about innovation, identifying opportunities and bringing them to life.</li><li>Experience working with technical teams and senior stakeholders to show case vision and design.</li><li>The ability to spot new opportunities, and the ROI that could be associated with this.</li><li>An evangelist for innovation culture, who loves to educate others and implement best practice.</li><li>Is comfortable in facilitating workshops.</li><li>Confident public speaker and storyteller.</li><li>Happy producing different types of visualisations from UI, video editing and infographics.</li><li>Experienceassessing the size of an opportunity.</li><li>Proficient in writing business cases and pitching ideas and concepts.</li></ul> <br>Please get in touch with Rob Lock at rob@wearesyncd.com for more insight and information. <br /><br /><em><em>We encourage applicants from all backgrounds, so if there is anything we can do to make our recruitment processes better for you and to allow you to show your best self, let us know.
