<p>I&rsquo;m looking for a mixed methods researcher to join a growing research business. A bit different to my normal research roles, in that this isn&rsquo;t a pure UX Research role, and will be covering UX, marketing, PR, Product, Media &ndash; any kind of consumer research.<br><br>The business is on a mission is to help companies better understand their customers like never before. They offer a disruptive customer experience insight platform and a range of insight-led services.&nbsp;<br><br>They&rsquo;re fortunate enough to work with amazing brands in gaming, car marques, sportswear, finance and many other industries, on both short term and longtail insight projects, so if you like a blend of projects &ndash; then this is the right place.<br><br>As a Research Consultant here, you&rsquo;ll be responsible for undertaking and delivering a wide range of research projects, bringing your research, analytical, design and reporting expertise to the team, drawing upon a strong combination of both qualitative and quantitative experience.<br><br>The successful applicant will have good commercial skills, a creative approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering value to customers.<br><br>While managing research projects and client relationships, you&rsquo;ll also lead the design of qualitative fieldwork (such as depth interviewing and involvement in ethnographic research) and quantitative fieldwork (such as survey studies, data analysis, data visualisation) and support presentation design and delivery.<br><br>The role can be remote, as long as you&rsquo;re based in the UK, with the expectation of meeting with the team once a quarter in their London office.<br><br><br>Key Responsibilities<br>The focus of the role will be to:<br><br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Take the lead in delivering research projects, from scoping through to methodology and report writing, including managing and developing client relationships;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Run the day-to-day management of a range of client accounts and be the first point of contact-ensuring expectations are managed and fulfilled;&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Deliver a wide range of research techniques including fieldwork such as online and in-person interviews, focus groups and data analysis;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Work with the management to win new work from new and existing clients and proactively identify new business opportunities both in terms of research services and policy markets;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Plan and manage resources effectively, including financial budgets<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Produce insightful research reports with sophisticated recommendations to support your clients in their decision-making;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Contribute to the development and profile of our research expertise with clients<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ensure that the company is up to date with developments in specified policy areas, research techniques and tools<br><br><br>What we&rsquo;re looking for in your background:<br>Essential Experience<br><br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience of delivering research projects&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience of working on UX Research projects is a big advantage<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Managing and delivering a portfolio of research projects to tight deadlines<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Interrogating and analysing datasets<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to present, explain and interpret data or analysis to non-technical audiences<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Preparing reports which are both objective and accessible<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Research design, such as devising interview and focus group topic guides, questionnaires, surveys and evaluation frameworks<br><br>Knowledge<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Quantitative and qualitative research techniques and their appropriate usage<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Expertise in customer insight techniques such as qualitative interviews, online studies, card sorting, user/usability testing, ethnographic research, customer segmentation, service blueprints, etc.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Knowledge of UX Research is a bid advantage&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Knowledge of evaluation methodologies<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Prioritise workload for self and others<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;A basic understanding of SPSS would be nice to have<br><br><em>Here at Futureheads, we encourage applicants from all backgrounds, so if there is anything we can do to make our recruitment processes better for you and to allow you to show your best self, let us know.
