They've built an app which gives people the tools and information to understand their credit data, and move closer to their financial goals.</p>
<p>They&rsquo;re looking for a Product Designer to join the team and help us make a difference.</p>
<p><strong>What&rsquo;s the job?</strong></p>
<p>As a Product Designer, you will be part of a cross-functional product team, or &lsquo;mission&rsquo;. You&rsquo;ll work closely with the Product Manager, Engineers and other team members to empathise with our users, balance their needs with business objectives, validate hypotheses and deliver and iterate on elegantly simple solutions. You&rsquo;ll be reporting to the Lead Designer who will provide support for your part of the business and help with your career development.</p>
<p>Outside of your mission, you will also be part of our wider product design team, where you can share, learn and develop your craft with a small diverse group of friendly and collaborative designers.</p>
<p><strong>What will you be working on?</strong></p>
<p>You&rsquo;ll be working in the &ldquo;serve&rdquo; mission, responsible for better matching our customers to credit products that suit their needs and financial situations.</p>
<ul>
<li>Taking opaque and complex credit product information, and simplifying it down to useful, relevant and timely recommendations for customers.</li>
<li>Navigating the constraints of tight and complex regulatory frameworks, while still keeping a user-first mindset.</li>
<li>Working with and optimising key conversion funnels.</li>
<li>Creating a best in class native app experience for credit customers.</li>
<li>If you&rsquo;re interested, you&rsquo;ll also be encouraged to contribute to design team processes, the design system and any other activities that can enable great work.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>You&rsquo;ll succeed in this role if you&rsquo;re:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Comfortable working across the full product design process - from research to delivery. They're not expecting unicorns here, more of a T-shaped person.</li>
<li>You approach your design solution by understanding the problem in the appropriate context, as well as how it fits into the wider ecosystem of the product</li>
<li>A self starter - you&rsquo;re autonomous in your work, but happy to seek support and feedback when you need it.</li>
<li>Curious, and ask great questions to get to the real problems they are trying to solve.</li>
<li>Collaborative, you love to share your craft, learn from your team and have a little fun along the way.</li>
<li>Pragmatic in your approach, you can make tradeoffs that balance the business and user need in equal measures.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Ideally you&rsquo;ll have:&nbsp;</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Relevant experience working in-house within a cross functional, agile product team on software products that address complex user needs.</li>
<li>A portfolio showcasing your process and not just the final solution.</li>
<li>Experience designing for responsive web apps and native mobile apps (iOS or Android).</li>
<li>Experience working in the finance/credit space is a bonus, but not essential.</li>
</ul>

Product Designer

Alex Cavanagh

<p>Alex is a Senior Consultant at Futureheads and has been involved in the area of product design throughout his entire recruitment career. He particularly enjoys working with hiring managers to uncover exact details of what they'd be looking for and efficiently resourcing for roles.</p>
<p>As part of the product design team, Alex works with tech companies across London and has had great success working with start-ups and fintech businesses.</p>
<p>Outside of work, Alex loves to see friends, visit a variety of pubs around London and travel to different countries. He's had brief spells living in Singapore and Barcelona and now finds himself in the east end of London in Hackney. Alex has also scored at Wembley!</p>
