<p>I’m looking for a hands-on lead level Product Designer to join a great product and service design studio.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> They are now at a point of growth where they need a Design Director to join, to work directly with the leadership team to ensure all work is delivered to the highest design quality in execution and strategy as well as lead on growing and nurturing the design team.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> They are design partners in every sense. Partnering with clients, working end-to-end from strategy, definition, execution and development, on a wide range of different sectors and design challenges.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> The Product Design team is currently made of 5 designers (soon to be 7). Although small in size, they are mighty in what they deliver. In recent years, they’ve worked in asset management, healthcare, the cultural sector and consumer retail and continue to explore projects in new sectors where there are interesting design problems to solve and ambitious brands to work with.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> </p><p><br></p><p>The focus of the role is to ensure that projects are delivered to the highest quality so clients, their business and their users are constantly delighted by the work of the studio.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> &nbsp;In addition to the above, the main remits of the role will be:</p><p><br></p><p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Boost the profile and awareness of the studio</p><p><br></p><p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Generate more long term and consistent revenue for the business</p><p><br></p><p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Make the studio feel like the best design studio to work for</p><p><br></p><p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Grow the headcount studio and nurture the team</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p> Main accountabilities</p><p><br></p><p>1. &nbsp; &nbsp;Bring teams together and review their work so that the project outcomes set the benchmark for design excellence</p><p><br></p><p>2. &nbsp; &nbsp;Work closely with product managers to align with the product strategy and vision</p><p><br></p><p>3. &nbsp; &nbsp;Plan and scope new projects so that we are able to win new work, manage client expectations and deliver projects on time and on budget</p><p><br></p><p>4. &nbsp; &nbsp;Nurture and mentor young design talent in the business so everyone in the business can progress their careers</p><p><br></p><p>5. &nbsp; &nbsp;Work closely with the development team throughout a project in order to ensure the best outcome by solving problems before, during and after delivery</p><p><br></p><p>6. &nbsp; &nbsp;Collaborate closely with the studio’s founders to drive the businesses core goals</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><em>Here at Futureheads, we encourage applicants from all backgrounds, so if there is anything we can do to make our recruitment processes better for you and to allow you to show your best self, let us know.
