Lead UX Designer

  • Contract type:Permanent
  • Salary/Rate:£80,000 - 85,000
  • Location:Central London, GB

An opportunity to be second in command in the development of a new product within a large, successful and innovative company. You will be responsible for guidance and leadership across the product development cycle and your main responsibilities will sit with the strategic though that comes with research planning, problem solving and ideation.

One of the worlds leading scientific publishing companies, based in Central London, is looking for a Lead UX Designer to jump on board a project that is still in an early stage of development, however your role will be supported by an established team.

Right now the web app has been established and has a good volume of users, but this role will be to push things further on that front and assess the efficacy of an additional mobile offering. This role will fit strategic UX Designers nicely if you gravitate towards the early stage of the process (Research, thinking and ideation), and have had a form of managerial experience – be it classic line management or heavy mentoring responsibilities.

We’re looking for a deep thinker, a seasoned problem solver and someone who has a wealth of experience working end to end across a product’s life cycle. You’ll be working closely with the Director on this one so you’ll have a great opportunity to steer the project in positive directions. The product itself will hopefully have a global impact in scientific research and innovation, and will aim to be a first choice alternative compared to some other competitors already in the market that have their limitations.
