<p>I&rsquo;m working with a multi-award-winning tech company with a mission to change the way the world deals with one of the most difficult events we&rsquo;re likely to encounter and to change the way that we deal with a very challenging topic.<br><br>Based in a beautiful office by the canal in Haggerston (East London), they&rsquo;re backed by some of Europe&rsquo;s most exceptional investors - from the founders of Transferwise &amp; Zoopla.<br><br>It&rsquo;s a big opportunity &ndash; the chance to change the lives of millions of people and their families every year. You'll be integral to determining the direction they take with their products and services and you&rsquo;ll help define the relationship they have with the people who need them.&nbsp;<br><br>This is an unusual, fascinating, and emotional area to work in. So if you&rsquo;re up for a big challenge and want to help people to feel confident in making meaningful decisions, this could be the role for you.<br>&nbsp;<br>They have 2 product teams and you&rsquo;ll be leading design across both, so this is a role for a clear communicator and confident collaborator. You should be as comfortable rolling up your sleeves to draw on the whiteboard as you are using digital design tools. And as happy to set up your own way of working as you are adopting the best bits of the way they work today.<br><br><strong>What are they looking for?</strong><br>They&rsquo;re looking for a Lead Product Designer, what does this mean for them? <br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;This is an IC (Individual Contributor) role &ndash; the person will be leading on Product Design, Design processes etc, as opposed to being a line manager<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;They have a great Creative and Brand team, so aren&rsquo;t looking for someone who is heavily UI/Visual Design &ndash; however, you should be able to *do* Visual Design. indexes towards<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;They are looking for an excellent and empathetic UX Problem-solver and Designer &ndash; someone who cares about seamless experiences for their customers, and complex internal systems&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;They have had researchers previously, and will re-hire in this area in the future &ndash; however if you can do some User Research, that would be a &ldquo;nice to have&rdquo;&nbsp;<br><br><strong>What do you need to have done before?</strong><br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;You must have proven experience working within Scale-ups and/or product businesses going through growth &ndash; decent tenure there is important (i.e. haven&rsquo;t dropped into a contract on one project and left)&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;You need to have of course worked on Products &ndash; the ideal candidate would be someone who has worked on a blend of Consumer-facing products &nbsp;and internal tools/systems <br><br><strong>Package includes:</strong><br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Up to &pound;95k salary<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Generous stock options<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;28 days annual leave plus the usual public holidays<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Personal development budget of up to 3 days and &pound;1000 per year<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Flexible working - you can choose when you start and end your day, and which days you come into the office<br>&nbsp;<br>🏆 And they&rsquo;ve won a few awards too: <br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Start-Ups 100, Top 5 Most Disruptive and Innovative UK Start-Up 2021&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Best Employer &amp; Runner Up Best CEO, Fintech Awards 2020&nbsp;</p>
