<p>Futureheads are partnering with a pioneering startup set to change the way both public and private entities harness global climate data for the purposes of creating a more sustainable approach to developing and maintaining our infrastructure and cities.<br>This purpose-driven start-up Is helping to create software using an open-box methodology prioritizing real science over the more commonly used projection methods commonly found In AI / ML. What they believe Is that their method will create far more accurate and meaningful data to be harnessed by their users and can play a significant role in helping to future-proof nations and In effect help towards lowering unnecessary emissions through Inefficient developments which won&rsquo;t last the course of time.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>What the role entails:<br>&nbsp;<br>You will be leading the data modelling build process helping to create the company's 2nd generation climate Impact and physical hazard model suite which is one of the company's primary product offerings.&nbsp;<br>The role will embrace data from the digital twin earth, CMIP6 and historical observations. In turn, the model shall then produce quant projections covering the likes of probability, frequency and severity of climate-related risk.<br>&nbsp;<br>Primary responsibilities:<br>&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Dev, Modelling, Expanding and continually Innovating the primary model suite.&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Innovating, Identifying and standardizing data and practices required for the development.&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Managing cross-discipline teams including data scientists, scientists and specialists.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Testing and validating results<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Documentation of the modelling process/ activity<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Assisting in the product demos<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Helping to represent the company and product at academic and industry conferences&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>What we would like from our candidates:<br>&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience leading cross-discipline teams helping to lead and manage professionals In an agile environment.&nbsp;<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience with scientific computing Ideally having used Python and HPC environments.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;PHD in a STEM subject with a track record In data modelling.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong communicator with the ability to describe complex concepts to less technical audiences<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to still be very involved and hands-on with a startup mindset and willingness to adapt where necessary.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience with Climate Models, geospatial data and emerging climate trends would be highly advantageous but not essential.<br>&nbsp;<br>Process: (Max 4 stages)<br><br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Talent Partner company intro / high-level CV review<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Technical Interview / Scenario related Interview with one of the C suite.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Scenario and Communication-related Interview with the Head of Sales<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Final stage - Cultural fit / Opportunity to raise any unanswered questions you may have.<br>&nbsp;<br>Salary / Benefits:<br><br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Base Salary - &pound;90-100k<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Discretionary Annual Bonus<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Performance related Share options<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;25 days holiday plus bank holidays<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Government Pension<br><br><em>Here at Futureheads, we encourage applicants from all backgrounds, so if there is anything we can do to make our recruitment processes better for you and to allow you to show your best self, let us know. Craig Armstrong

<p>Craig is an experienced Recruitment Manager with a breadth of experience in Digital and Finance Tech. He leads the Engineering, Projects and Product teams, covering perm and contract covering Front end, Fullstack and Back end roles (generally with a largely leaning toward Javascript) as well as Engineering leadership roles and Architecture.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Craig is a hands-on leader that likes to engage closely with the tech community across every level from Junior to CTO. He loves to regularly discuss the challenges within the market amongst Tech Leaders in Startups to Scale-Ups &amp; Enterprise organisations.&nbsp;He likes to collaborate closely with his team and through them gets to see an even larger spread of what the London Tech scene has to offer whether that be in Tech for good, Travel Tech or Fintech.</p>
<p>Away from work, Craig has his hands full with Dogs, Cats and a mini human - Mylo, who's off to school this year. Aside from that, he loves gigs, football matches, running and cycling - when he can fit it into the diary.&nbsp;</p>
