We are supporting an independent design and innovation consultancy that delivers experience-led products and services for a host of globally renowned brands. They are driven by User Centred Design and a desire to immerse themselves in the world of their clients’ to actively find problems to solve and identify opportunities for change.
The agency recognises that every project is different so they tailor their method to suit the specific needs of the client. Whether they are designing future concepts and running innovation labs, completing service and product design projects, or producing ethnographic research – it’s not enough to simply deliver an adequate solution that works. They ask the big questions and explore the deeper relationship between a user and the product/service to ultimately find a solution that exceeds expectation and makes a meaningful impact.
They are currently looking for a Design Researcher with qualitative research experience to join the team. You should also have experience using a range of digital research methods to uncover needs. Ideally you will be able to conduct diary studies, implement remote user studies, use sensors or digital tracking tools, moderate/monitor online communities and conduct studies using social media.
Having an empathy and passion for people is critical as they look for those who have a natural skill to engage with people at a deep level. Whether observing or interviewing research participants, or working with fellow team members and clients, a design researcher should be passionate about representing the human perspective in design and should have skills in bringing this passion to life for the team.
