Senior UX Designer
- Contract type
- Central London
- Start date
We have partnered with a well-known high street retailer that’s looking for a talented Senior UX Designer with management experience to oversee their growing design team and help them to craft new digital customer experiences.
Since early 2017, we have supported this business through a substantial digital transformation programme, which has coincided with broader changes to their brand and customer-base. During this period, they have made some exciting high-profile hires and have successfully bolstered their design team, with an experienced blend of UX and Visual Design specialists.
Given these extensive changes, User Research is crucial to helping them understand their new customers across all digital channels and surrounding touch points. Thus, by working in tandem with their Head of Digital, they are now looking for a Senior UX Designer who can establish and build out a User Research function. This will allow them to define the motivations and behaviours of their customers and ultimately inform the design and build of new industry leading digital products and services.
This is a hands-on management role that covers the full digital product design cycle, meaning you will take charge of all outputs within the function. You will lead a team of talented designers and be responsible for delivering a digital roadmap by blending brand and commerce across all channels through a User Centred Design process.
Reporting into the Head of Digital, you will become the voice of User Experience across the wider business and develop the way in which customers digitally interact with their brand. But looking outside of UX, you will also be responsible for managing senior business stakeholders and collaborating with Product, Optimisation, Engineering and wider cross-functional teams to prioritise and ensure stream delivery.
To be considered for this position, you will need to be a strong all-rounder with solid experience across a broad range of UX tools such as Sketch, InVision, etc. However, given the nature of the role, it’s crucial that you have a comprehensive knowledge of behavioural and digital user research methods, covering a multitude of techniques, both qual & quant. You will also need a proven track record of delivering solutions that enhance business KPIs. Finally, any experience in a retail/eCommerce environment will be hugely beneficial.
