Futureheads have partnered with a UK-leading Publishing conglomerate with numerous recognisable brands under its name to find a skilled Technical Project Manager that has experience with the software development life cycle.

Working directly with the Head of IT, your role will be split between two key functions; overseeing the successful migration of data to the cloud and managing the construction of a Content Archive Solution. For the cloud migration part of this position, you will be working with the Infrastructure team, third-party engineering team, product managers and QA testers. For the latter part of this job, you will be managing a third-party software development company.

This is a 6 month contract with a potential 3 month extension.

Technical Project Manager responsibilities:

Lead and deliver on a migration project to the cloud
Manage and liaise with the external agency as they construct a Content Archive Solution
Migration of Applications from on-premise to the cloud
Managing multiple teams and ensuring that timelines and budget limitations are kept within

Ideal Technical Project Manager will have:

Good skills around desktop migration projects
Ability to lead & drive projects to successful completion
Strong communication skills/stakeholder management
Proven technical background
Experience with AWS is preferred
