Futureheads are partnered with a rapidly growing FinTech business who are hiring a Programme Manager. They SME business have been established for nearly ten years and manage a turnover of over £1bn annually. Technology is central to the work they do, and they are committed to delivering high quality products, keeping the user in mind throughout their decision-making process.
The Programme Manager will work closely with the Chief Product Officer, who is overseeing the strategy and innovation for the enhancement of their current set of products. In addition to updating their current product suite, they are also looking to the future of banking and have some exciting plans in the pipeline. The Programme Manager will lead a small team of Project Managers and help mature the project process to ensure these products are delivered on time and to a high quality.

You will need to have a have a track record of running multiple streams of work. You will collaborate with the engineering, QA and product teams to help scope out what changes need to be made, so an appreciation of product and technology would be beneficial.
As the business is going through a companywide transformation, you will be flexible and able to thrive on ambiguity, using it to inspire your creativity and innovative mind and make good decisions in the absence of a complete picture.
Ideally you will have experience working in a start-up and understand what it means to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in FinTech is ideal, but don’t be put off if you haven’t got experience in this space yet – as long as you have the drive to learn.
As the business goes through a far-reaching transformation, the Programme Manager will help to establish their PMO, lead a team of project managers, and help mature the overall project process. You will help the culture of this team to thrive and will manage the overall change of and evolution of this team.
The role will also involve helping to define legacy systems, to integrate these with the new platforms and technical stacks. You will be working across multiple streams of work, helping to align these centrally to help the wider business reach its strategic business goals.
With a balanced approach, you will build rapport with various teams in the business as you help to mature the project processes in the business. The business work in an agile orientated way so you will need experience in this, but you will be flexible and pragmatic about the methodologies you use to deliver the programmes of work.
To apply for this role, you must have:
- Experience delivering multiple streams of work in a technical environment.
- Knowledge of multiple methodologies, including agile.
- An understanding of working on technical projects and working closely with engineers.
- Previous experience managing and leading project managers
- Outstanding communication skills, and high emotional intelligence to be able to work with a wide range of colleagues and teams.
